Final stop: Rampage face Checkers in Charlotte

The San Antonio Rampage (31-19-5-0) make their final stop of a month long Rodeo Road Trip when they face the Charlotte Checkers (21-29-5-1) for a two-game series beginning tonight.

San Antonio enters the game with 67 points, sitting fifth in the Western Conference. They are coming off a 4-0 loss to the Oklahoma City Barons on Saturday night, where a big second period gave Oklahoma City their first regulation win over the Silver and Black. They are just three points behind Rockford for fourth place in the conference.

Charlotte comes in with 48 points, sitting 14th in the Western Conference. They are coming off a 4-3 overtime win over the Hamilton Bulldogs, where Zach Boychuk and Justin Shugg led the Checkers to the victory.

The Silver and Black are 12-11-0-2 against Charlotte overall and this season are 4-1-0-0 with just two games to go.

The Rampage and Checkers will drop the puck at 6 p.m. inside Time Warner Cable Arena. Samantha Garcia will have a recap on the website later.
