Defender Nana Attakora called up by Team Canada


San Antonio Scorpions defender Nana Attakora has been called up to join his Canadian National Team, it was announced on Tuesday.

Attakora will play in the Preliminary Round of qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The 26-year-old has played in eight matches with Canada, having four starts and 423 total minutes played.

The Scorpions are currently 2-2-4 (8 points) on the Spring Season and will return to the pitch this Saturday when they travel to Atlanta to face the Silverbacks at 6:30 p.m. inside Atlanta Silverbacks Park.
