San Antonio Stars guard Danielle Robinson will represent the silver and black after she was selected as a reserve for the 2015 WNBA All-Star by the league coaches, it was announced late Tuesday night.
Robinson is averaging 11.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 31.2 minutes this season and leads the Stars in assists with 4.9. Last season, she was selected as an All-Star and had six points, three rebounds and two steals in 14 minutes as the West edge the East 125-124.
“It’s an honor to be playing with the best players in the world,” Robinson said after Tuesday’s win over the Indiana Fever. “To be selected would absolutely be an honor. I’ve been there before and it was a great experience. If it happens I’ll be looking forward to it.”
Other Western Conference reserves are: Sue Bird (Seattle Storm), DeWanna Bonner (Phoenix Mercury), Nneka Ogwumike (Los Angeles Sparks), Plenette Pierson (Tulsa Shock) and Lindsay Whalen (Minnesota Lynx).
The Boost Mobile WNBA All-Star 2015 will be this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. inside Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
