Calvin Pickard named AHL Goaltender of the Month

Texas Flash competed in the 15 and under division at the Texas Showdown National Championship 7on7 14th and 15th in Round Rock.

San Antonio Rampage goaltender Calvin Pickard has been named the AHL Goaltender of the Month for October, the American Hockey League announced on Tuesday.

Through six games, Pickard finished with a 5-0-1 record, posting a 1.79 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage.

Pickard led the Rampage on a five-game winning streak, including two overtime wins over the then-Pacific Division leading Ontario Reign. The 23-year-old faced an average of 34 shots and stopped 74 of 76 shots in the two games against the Reign.

Pickard will be presented with the award prior to a Rampage home game.
