The San Antonio Rampage are rolling into the playoffs, but got some news that put a damper on that accomplishment. The team will be without their leading scorer for the rest of the regular season and playoffs.

Bobby Butler will miss the next 3-4 months with a torn Achilles, Rampage head coach told broadcaster Dan Weiss on Friday morning. Rowe went on to say he expects Butler to make a full recovery according to the broadcaster.

Butler played a total of 68 games with the Silver and Black this season, tallying 27 goals and 32 assists along with 59 points.

The Rampage are currently 44-21-5-1 (94 points) on the season and will return to the ice tonight at 7:30 p.m. when they take on the Grand Rapids Griffins at the AT&T Center.

  1. Hi Stephen.
I wonder about Bobby Butler. He seems like an offensive player with the tools to produce alot. Sources telling us Bobby is heading for Sweden, and Modo Hockey which could be an alternative for him.

    I have three questions.
Which type of player is Bobby?
Do you think he can produce on a bigger rink?`
Have you heard any rumours about Bobby heading for Modo and Sweden?

    Best regards.
    Mikael
