Bobby Butler and Drew Shore named AHL All-Stars

San Antonio Rampage center Drew Shore (right, #32) and right winger Bobby Butler (right) were named to the AHL’s Western Conference All-Stars roster on Tuesday.

The San Antonio Rampage are off to a hot start and the league is taking notice. Not one, but two members of the Silver and Black are getting All-Stars honors and will represent San Antonio later this month in the annual All-Star game.

Right wing Bobby Butler and center Drew Shore have been named to the Western Conference All-Star roster, the American Hockey League announced on Tuesday afternoon.

This will be Butler’s third All-Star appearance after going with the Binghamton Senators in 2011 and the Albany Devils in 2013. So far this season, Butler has 14 goals 17 assists in 31 games. Last season the right winger tallied a team-high 22 goals for the Silver and Black.


Shore will be making his second All-Star appearance, after going in 2013 with the Rampage. This season, Shore has nine goals and 21 assists in 33 games and during the 2013-14 campaign, he tallied six goals and 26 assists in 50 games.

The 2015 AHL All-Star Classic will stretch over two days from January 25-26. The AHL All-Star Skills Competition will be on Sunday January 25 and the All-Star game will be the next night on the 26th.

The Rampage are 19-11-3-0 (41 points) on the season and will take on the Adirondack Flames tonight at 6 p.m. inside the Glen Falls Civic Center to continue their six-game road trip.
