San Antonio FC will open the 2019 USL Championship season at Toyota Field against Phoenix Rising FC on March 9, the league announced on December 14.
The match will mark the first time in franchise history that SAFC opens a season at home, where they are 2-0-1 all-time in home openers. San Antonio earned wins over the LA Galaxy II in 2017 and defeated Saint Louis FC in 2018 but drew with the Swope Park Rangers in 2016.
Overall, SAFC is 4-2-1 against Phoenix Rising FC all-time and are 3-0-1 at Toyota Field.
The rest of the San Antonio FC 2019 schedule will be released at a later date.
