The UTSA Roadrunners (1-2) women’s basketball team will look to shock the No. 2 ranked Texas Longhorns (2-0) when the two teams meet this evening at the Frank Erwin Center.
Last time out: UTSA suffered a heartbreaking 69-68 overtime loss to UT-Arlington on Wednesday night. Senior guard Crystal Chidomere led the Roadrunners with a game-high 26 points.
Team leaders: Sophomore forward Marie Benson leads UTSA in scoring with 16.0 points per game and 11.0 rebounds. Senior guard Carlie Heineman is averaging 12.5 points per game.
Against Texas: Tonight will be the eighth time the two schools have met with the Longhorns owning a 7-0 record.
UTSA and Texas will tip things off at 7 p.m. from the Frank Erwin Center.
