Preview: Stars take on Liberty in penultimate game of 2017 season

The San Antonio Stars will finish the 2017 season they way they started it, with a back-to-back. The Silver and Black come to New York for the final time this season, looking for a different result.

Last time out: The Stars fell 89-70 to the Minnesota Lynx in the final home game of the 2017 season. Kayla McBride and Kayla Alexander both led the Stars with 15 points apiece.

Looking ahead: Stars coach Vickie Johnson said after Friday’s game, the team is looking towards next season. San Antonio is looking to build off what has been a successful month of August, their best month of the entire season.


Against New York: San Antonio is 1-1 against the Liberty this season, each team winning on their home floor. Overall, the Stars are 31-47 against New York in their 15 seasons against each other.

The Stars and Liberty will tip off at 6:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden.
