San Antonio FC has signed defender Sebastien Ibeagha for the upcoming 2017 season, the team announced last Friday.
Ibeagha spent 2016 with the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer (MLS). He also spent time on loan with RGV FC and Rayo OKC (NASL). During his time, he scored two goals over the course of being on loan.
“Sebastien is a very strong and athletic center back,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell. “I had the chance to watch him in college and more recently when he played in the USL and NASL on loan from the Houston Dynamo last season. He will be competing for a starting spot from day one and we are excited to have him arrive for preseason.”
The signing of Ibeagha brings the SAFC roster to 21 players. Training camp opens on Feb. 6 as the team prepares for the start of the 2017 preseason.
