San Antonio FC will host the USL Experience at Toyota Field and STAR Soccer Complex in 2017, the league announced on Friday.
“We are certainly looking forward to hosting the second annual USL Experience in conjunction with San Antonio FC,” Super Y League Director Dan Lohrs said. “We had a tremendous debut in Cincinnati and look to build off of that success and continue raising the bar on the USL Experience. San Antonio provides the opportunity to immerse our players in a new environment and region of the country. We want to take advantage of everything this unique city and club have to offer, which in turn will provide our players with the experience of a lifetime.”
The USL Experience will see the best Super Y League players come to the Alamo City as they prepare to workout, train and work with players at Toyota Field in a close environment.
“We are very excited to host the best Super Y League players in San Antonio at Toyota Field and STAR Soccer Complex for the USL Experience,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell. “Our staff is committed to player development, and hosting this event allows us to observe the quality players from the Super Y League.”
The Scouting Series for the 2017 USL Experience will be held in Region 1 will take place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, for the New England, North Atlantic and Mid Atlantic Divisions. Region 2 will be at The Plex in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for the Midwest Division.
