The San Antonio Stars will look to build off their first win of the season when they take on the undefeated Los Angeles Sparks this evening to begin a home-and-home series.
San Antonio (1-3) earned their first win of the season last Friday a 79-78 victory over the Chicago Sky. Haley Peters had 16 points all in the fourth quarter to spark her team’s comeback as San Antonio rallied from a 15-point deficit.
The Sparks own a perfect record after five games. Los Angeles defeated the Connecticut Sun 77-72 on the road last Thursday as Candace Parker scored 22 points in the win.
Overall, the Silver and Black are 31-47 against Los Angeles since 2003 and the Sparks have won five of the last six home meetings.
Last season, San Antonio was 2-5 against the Sparks.
