The San Antonio Rampage are in California to begin a two-game series with the Ontario Reign in the battle of the top two teams in the AHL.
San Antonio comes in with a 3-0-1-0 record for 7 points, sitting second in the Pacific Division. The Rampage are coming off a 5-1 win over the Stockton Heat last Saturday as Mikko Rantanen and Chris Bigras each had a goal in the victory and Calvin Pickard stopped all but one shot.
Ontario enters this evening with a perfect 5-0-0-0 record for 10 points, sitting atop the Pacific Division. The Reign defeated the San Jose Barracuda 3-0 last Saturday night to stay perfect on the young season.
Overall, the Rampage are 2-1-0-1 against the Los Angeles Kings affiliate, including a 1-1 record on the road.
