The San Antonio Scorpions will look to return to the all important win column when they face the New York Cosmos this evening in the Big Apple.
San Antonio (1-2-3, 5 points) sit 10th in the NASL Fall Season table and are at the bottom of the table in the combined standings. The defending champions earned a point in last weekend’s 3-3 draw against the Atlanta Silverbacks that saw the Alamo City boys rally from a two-goal deficit.
New York (2-3-1, 9 points) sit fifth in the NASL Fall Season table and are second in the combined standings. The Cosmos are coming off a 3-3 draw to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers last Saturday.
Overall, San Antonio is 4-0-3 against New York all-time, the Cosmos won the most recent meeting in the Spring Season and the Scorpions have won the previous four meetings prior to that.
The Scorpions and Cosmos will kick things off at 6 p.m. inside James M. Shuart Stadium and Stephen Anderson will have a recap. Follow @RedBlack_90 on Twitter for live game updates.
