The San Antonio Rampage (7-6-0-0) look to continue their two-game winning streak when they welcome the struggling Charlotte Checkers (4-7-0-0) to the AT&T Center for a pair of weekend games, beginning tonight.
San Antonio is coming off back-to-back wins against the Oklahoma City Barons 3-1 and 3-2 respectively. Bobby Butler tallied two goals in Sunday’s win and goaltender Dan Ellis made 20 saves on 21 shots and stopped all three shooters in a shootout on Tuesday morning to seal the one goal win for the Silver and Black.
Charlotte is coming off a 3-1 win over the defending champion Texas Stars on Monday, just a day after they suffered their worst loss of the year at 8-2.
Against Charlotte: The Rampage are 8-10-0-2 all-time against the Checkers and have a record of 4-4-0-2 at home. The Checkers are 4-49 (8.2%) on the power play this season and Goaltender Drew MacIntyre has a 14-7 record all-time against San Antonio.
