The San Antonio Rampage drop the puck on their 13th season in the Alamo City tonight when they host the Iowa Wild (formerly the Houston Aeros) tonight at the AT&T Center. Both teams are in the West division and this is the first of eight meetings between the two clubs. Last season saw Iowa take the final two match-ups and overall the Wild have won the last five meetings against San Antonio. All five Iowa wins over the Rampage have come by one goal, with three shootout wins and one overtime victory.

Last season, San Antonio finished the 2013-14 campaign with a record of 30-37-3-6 and were 18-14-3-3 on home ice. The silver and black allowed opponents to outscore them 121-118 last season at home.

Goaltender Dan Ellis will get the start in net for the Rampage this evening. Last season he split time between Florida and Dallas, finishing the season with a 5-11-0 record with a 3.62 GAA and a .879 SV %.


Iowa’s goaltenders for the season are John Curry and Johan Gustafsson. During the 2013-14 season Curry finished with a record of 7-9-2 with a 2.62 GAA and a .920 SV%, while Gustafsson was 12-20-4 with a 2.98 GAA and a .903 SV %.
