The Colorado Avalanche have traded Joe Whitney to the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Brendan Ranford, the team announced this week.

Ranford split his time in the 2017 season with the Texas Stars and Tucson Roadrunners, tallying six goals and 11 assists. This will be Ranford’s third team since joining the AHL in 2010.

The Rampage will return home this week, facing the Grand Rapids Griffins at the AT&T Center at 7:30 p.m. for Military Appreciation Night.
