Avalanche trade Freddie Hamilton to Calgary


The Colorado Avalanche have traded forward Freddie Hamilton to the Calgary Flames in exchange for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, the team announced late Sunday night.

Hamilton was reassigned to the San Antonio Rampage training camp roster on September 24.

The Rampage will open the 2015-16 season on Saturday when they face their in-state rival Texas Stars at 7 p.m. inside the Cedar Park Center.
