Avalanche recall Mikko Rantanen

The Colorado Avalanche have recalled Mikko Rantanen from the San Antonio Rampage, the team announced on Monday.

Rantanen had two assists in four games with the Rampage this season. The 19-year-old led the team in goals, assists, and games played in the 2015-16 season and was named the AHL’s outstanding rookie of the year.

Additionally, the Rampage recalled Shawn Ouellette-St. Aman from their ECHL affiliate Colorado Eagles. The 20-year-old has two contests with the Eagles, but has not yet donned a Rampage sweater.

The Rampage are currently 0-4-0-0 on the season and will return to the ice tonight at 7:30 p.m. against the Texas Stars inside the H-E-B Center.
