As the San Antonio Rampage get ready to hit the ice for the 2017-18 season, their roster is beginning to take shape.

Their NHL parent club, the Colorado Avalanche have reassigned goaltender Sam Brittain and forward Ben Storm to the Rampage, their AHL affiliate.

Brittain posted a .943 save percentage and 1.76 goals-against average in seven games with San Antonio during the 2014-15 season. It is likely the 25-year-old net minder will split his time between the AHL and ECHL.

Storm was a sixth-round selection by the Avalanche in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old signed a Professional Tryout Offer (PTO) with the Silver and Black in March 2017. It is expected Storm will be with San Antonio for the entire 2017-18 campaign.

The Rampage will hit the ice for the first time next Friday when they take on the Texas Stars for a home-and-home series preseason matchup at the AT&T Center at 7:30 p.m.

The Rampage will open the 2017-18 regular season on Saturday, October 7 at the AT&T Center at 7 p.m. against the Ontario Reign.
