Avalanche reassign Nikita Zadorov to Rampage

Defenseman Nikita Zadorov has been reassigned to the San Antonio Rampage, the team announced on Saturday morning.

Zadorov was selected No. 16 overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Avalanche in a trade in June that saw Mikhail Grigorenko and J.T. Compher join Colorado.

The 20-year-old has tallied two assists with Colorado this season in 11 games.

The Rampage are currently 5-0-3-0 (13 points) on the season and will return to the ice tonight when they travel to Austin to face the Texas Stars at 7 p.m. inside the Cedar Park Center.
