San Antonio Rampage right winger Bobby Butler was named to the AHL All-Star team a few weeks ago, but will not be able to attend due to his wife giving birth at any moment. Not to worry Rampage Nation, the Silver and Black will still have someone representing them in Utica.

The American Hockey League announced on Wednesday that defenseman Alex Petrovic has been named as Butler’s replacement to the AHL Western Conference All-Star roster.

This will be Petrovic’s first All-Star honor, while he has scored three goals and 14 assists this season for the Rampage. He has played in 13 games with the Florida Panthers of the NHL and tallied an assist.

The 2015 AHL All-Star Classic will stretch over two days from January 25-26. The AHL All-Star Skills Competition will be on Sunday January 25 and the All-Star game will be the next night on the 26th.

The Rampage are currently 23-13-3-0 (49 points) on the season and will return to the ice tomorrow night when they travel to Cleveland to face the Lake Erie Monsters at 6 p.m. inside Quicken Loans Arena.
