The San Antonio Stars tip off their season tonight on the road against the Atlanta Dream. Here are some quick hits on what to expect from the Stars.

1. How the Stars fare without Hammon
Becky Hammon is out with a left ankle sprain. Tonight, the Stars will have to figure out how to compensate for the loss of Hammon. Expect more scoring from Sophia Young-Malcolm, Danielle Robinson and Danielle Adams.

2. Slow, sluggish
The WNBA season started earlier this season and therefore a lot of players will be rusty so expect some slow, sluggish play leading a to a low scoring game. It could go the opposite and both teams play well. You just never know.

3. Kayla McBride and Shoni Schimmel
These two WNBA rookies’ play will determine whether or not which team has the edge and which will ultimately give that team the win.

These are 3 quick hits on what to expect from the Stars tonight. Tip off is set for 7:30 pm EST, 6:30 pm local time. You can watch it via LiveAccess or on NBATV.
